Quote:Synopsis
Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by giants. Giants are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest of giants.

Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a giant in over 100 years. Teenage boy Elen and his foster sister Mikasa witness something horrific as the city walls are destroyed by a super giant that appears out of thin air. As the smaller giants flood the city, the two kids watch in horror as their mother is eaten alive. Elen vows that he will murder every single giant and take revenge for all of mankind.

Characters & Voice Actors

Mikasa Ackerman

VA : Ishikawa, Yui
The adoptive sister of Eren and mutual childhood friend of Armin, Mikasa hides her emotions but cares deeply for Eren--never hesitating to cry with tears of joy or despair depending on what happens to him. She shares an unbreakable bond with Eren following events in their past, and his mother requesting that she protect him made her even more overly protective of him than she was beforehand.

Subtle (and not-so-subtle) hints throughout the manga suggest she loves Eren as a woman, rather than as a sister. However, in the first four volumes he hasn't shown any such feelings in return, and it seems her feelings are destined to be unrequited.
Eren Yaeger

VA : Kaji, Yuki
Shingeki's protagonist. His adoptive sister, Mikasa, notes on numerous occasions that he acts on impulse without thinking things through, and she often pulls/carries/throws him when he starts fighting with others to protect him from himself. Along with Mikasa, he tends to spend his free time with their mutual friend, Armin.
Armin Arelet

VA : Inoue, MarinaEren's best friend, he is physically and emotionally weak. His strategic abilities have saved Eren and Mikasa several times. He himself does not notice the things he does for Eren and Mikasa, and believes himself to be completely incompetent and hates himself for having to rely of Eren and Mikasa.
Bodt, Marco

Ranked seventh of the trainee class.Sasha Braus

VA : Kobayashi, Yuu
A glutton, Sasha comes from the Dauper village, a scarcely populated hunting village from the mountains. One of the new recruits that came in with Eren and Mikasa, Sasha joins the Scouting Legion despite her terrified fear of titans.

Jean Kirschtein

Ranked 6nd of the trainee class. Extremely pessimistic about the War with the Titans. He ends up leading the people on the supply mission for gas. From the Trost District.

Ranked 4th of the trainee class. A stoic girl, her Father trained her in hand to hand combat.She's a solitary type, and solidarity doesn't come to her easily.
